Current R2 resident, Charles Li, has been awarded a Trainee Research Prize from the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).

Established in 1994, the Trainee Research Prize recognizes outstanding scientific contributions of medical students, residents, and fellows to the RSNA Annual Meeting. Each year, only one award is available at each training level for each of the 16 different scientific subcommittees.

Charles was selected for this award, which consists of a $1000 cash prize, for his research project entitled, “Lung Cancer Screening in a Socioeconomically Disadvantaged Population: Baseline and 1st Annual Rescreening Results.”

Charles reported that he was “humbled by this tremendous honor,” as he credited Dr. Christopher Lee for his “outstanding mentorship.” Charles says he is excited to present his work in Chicago this Fall, and that he’s further encouraged to continue pursuing research projects in the coming years.

Congratulations, Charles!
